Monocle Magazine’s Tyler Brulé’s latest venture Monocle 24 just recently launched online this past Monday, October 17. For readers as well as listeners familiar with Monocle’s Monocle Weekly podcast available for on-demand streaming each Sunday from iTunes and on the website at monocle.com, Monocle 24 is a logical extension to expand the brand and attract a wider audience.

From Monday, world and business news reports were punctuated with familiar loungey bossa nova beats and Monocle favorites like the Quiet Nights Orchestra. Interviews with the publication’s correspondents based everywhere from Shanghai to London, musicians, designers and other media guests pack out live round-the-clock radio broadcasts.

Programs include Sunday’s The Monocle Weekly expanded from a 45-minute to an hour program to a longer 2-hour format, the Menu profiling food and cuisine from farm to table, Andrew Tuck’s The Urbanist program focusing on urban issues and news, Culture with Robert Bound, among others.

Check back on November 1, 2011, when Monocle 24 becomes available as an iPhone app from iTunes. For further details and to listen live online visit Monocle 24 at monocle.com/24.
